Manchester United have decided to part ways with Jadon Sancho this summer, as per Fabrizio Romano. The board is steadfast in its decision, which stands irrespective of any potential managerial changes. They have set a £40 million asking price for the winger, who has drawn interest from his former club, Borussia Dortmund, along with several other European teams. Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

Sancho's time at Old Trafford has been a mix of flashes of his potential and his inconsistency since his high-profile transfer from Dortmund to the Red Devils for £73m in July 2021. The 24-year-old's potential departure marks a significant shift as the club looks to recoup some of the investment made in him. The England International has played 82 games so far for United while scoring 12 goals. The winger has failed to make a name for himself at Old Trafford and his public falling with the manager Erik ten Hag didn't help it either.

As the summer transfer window progresses, Sancho's situation will be closely watched by fans and teams across Europe. Sancho has been described as a great talent but his lack of inconsistency at United has marred that reputation. Earlier it was reported that his future was linked with manager Erik ten Hag but that doesn't seem the case anymore as Manchester United look to balance their books amid Financial Fair Play issues marring future transfers at the club.

Where does Sancho play next is yet to be seen but definitely his turbulent time with Manchester United looks set to end.
