Aaron Wan-Bissaka's journey at Manchester United has seen quite a few highs and lows since his big-money move from Crystal Palace in 2019 and was seen as a potential solution to United's long-standing issues at right-back. Known for his one-on-one defending, the 26-year-old was highly rated and came with a lot of expectations to the club.

However, while his defensive skills were never in doubt, Wan-Bissaka's ability to contribute offensively left much to be desired. His attacking output and ball skills remained subpar, leading to his gradual replacement by Diogo Dalot under Erik ten Hag. Last season, Wan-Bissaka made 22 Premier League appearances, largely due to an injury crisis that forced Dalot to cover at left-back. Despite his contributions during the last season, it's clear that he is no longer the first-choice right-back at Old Trafford under the current manager.

With another year left on his contract after Manchester United triggered a one-year extension, the transfer window presents a decision for both the club and the player. According to reports from beIN Sports Turkey, Wan-Bissaka is close to agreeing a move to Galatasaray, with the Turkish champions keen on the defender.

Manchester United signed Wan-Bissaka for £50 million in 2019 from Crystal Palace. However, the reported fee of around £17 million from Galatasaray represents a significant loss on United's initial investment in the Right-back. However, given Wan-Bissaka's declining relevance and just a year left on his contract, it might be the best deal United can secure for the right-back. Reportedly, Galatasaray is offering a four-year contract to Wan-Bissaka and the player is also keen on the move, considering he is just 26 and can revive his career somewhere else.

Wan-Bissaka's time at Manchester United may be coming to an end, but his defensive flair and tough tackling will be long remembered. The right-back has represented the club on 190 occasions but seems to have played his part for Manchester United As he prepares for a new chapter in Turkey.
