Last summer, as per TEAMtalk, Manchester United was among the clubs interested in signing Crystal Palace attacking gem Eberechi Eze. The Eagles managed to retain him, primarily because the Red Devils and other potential suitors turned their interests into formal bids.
In nine games this season, the nine-cap England international has continued to impress; he has backed up his performance with three goals and an assist for a Palace team that has struggled. They may have been fortunate to have kept the 26-year-old; losing him and Michael Olise in the same transfer window would have been disastrous. Nonetheless, there is continued interest in Eze's services.
Manchester United Eyes Eberechi Eze
As per transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United continues to monitor Eze's progress. In fact, he's one of their top transfer targets for 2025. To make Eze's move to Old Trafford a reality, the Red Devils must persuade him of their plans and trigger his £68 million release clause.
United is trying to comply with Premier League profit and sustainability regulations, and in order to afford such a deal, they may have to qualify for the 2025–26 Champions League. Aside from returning to Europe's elite club competition, the Reds may, as per Football Transfers, have to sell one of their important players to create finances for the Eze acquisition. Marcus Rashford or Bruno Fernandes could be sold to seal the young Englishman's capture.
Some fans may be disappointed if Rashford or Fernandes were to depart. However, the Palace attacker is versatile, playing as a forward or a playmaker, and could easily replace whoever makes way for him.
