If Marcus Rashford signs for Barcelona, then there will be respite for Man United fans. See, Barca also wants to steal Luis Diaz from Liverpool.
Marcus Rashford is a household name in Manchester, for all the right reasons. Coming through the Man United youth academy, the Englishman has done a fine service for Man United.
When he broke onto the scene as a teenager, fans were told to remember the name. With some fine Europa League displays followed up by scoring a brace against Arsenal of all teams, Rashford was well on his way to Man United stardom.
Now, though, Rashford may have already played his last game for the Red Devils.
Marcus Rashford might end up teammates with Luis Diaz
According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Marcus Rashford is keen to join Barcelona from Man United this summer. However, Rashford is not alone, as Barcelona will also push for a move for Luis Diaz.
Unlike Rashford, Diaz is not for sale, or so Liverpool say. The Reds have already closed off others from Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but that won't stop Barcelona from trying.
Romano thinks that Barcelona will try again to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool. However, for obvious reasons which Barcelona already know about, it won't be easy. Nevertheless, the Culers are planning a new approach to sign Diaz, with Rashford also keen on being involved.
Man United and Marcus Rashford stuck in limbo
Man United is in a difficult place right now. While the obvious right decision is to sell Marcus Rashford, it isn't easy. Heck, even sending him out on loan isn't easy.
See, any deal for Marcus Rashford, whether that be a loan or permanent deal, would rely on one of two things happening: A suitor matching his wage, or Marcus Rashford taking a pay cut.
At the moment, Rashford has shown no willingness to take a pay cut, which leaves both him and Man United in a difficult position.
Of course, his wage isn't his fault, Rashford was offered a bumper contract as a teenager, and now it's royally come back around to bite Man United in the backside.
