Manchester United Legends draw 1-1 with Celtic Legends
In an entertaining legends match at Old Trafford, Manchester United and Celtic played out a 1-1 draw, with Celtic eventually winning 5-4 on penalties. The game was organized to raise funds for the Manchester United Foundation.
Wayne Rooney opened the scoring for United just before half-time, curling a stunning free-kick into the top corner in the 42nd minute. The goal reminded fans of his remarkable abilities, even in retirement. However, Celtic equalized on the hour mark when Gary Hooper reacted quickest to tap in after Stiliyan Petrov’s shot rebounded off the crossbar.

Both sides had chances, with Dimitar Berbatov coming close for United, but the match remained level after 90 minutes. In the penalty shootout, Danny Webber missed for United, allowing Darren O'Dea to slot home the winning penalty for Celtic.
Rooney expressed his joy at returning to Old Trafford, highlighting the importance of supporting the Foundation's charity work.
