All Manchester United players on International Duty for September International Break
Manchester United will have 15 players representing their countries on the senior international stage this month. These players will be involved in various qualification matches for major tournaments, including the UEFA Nations League, the World Cup, and the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
For the World Cup qualifiers, Manchester United goalkeepers Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana will kickoff their campaign for Turkiye and Cameron. Bayindir, representing Turkiye, will face Wales, while Onana will help Cameroon start their AFCON qualification campaign under new coach Marc Brys.
New signing Noussair Mazraoui is set to play for Morocco in the AFCON qualifiers, and Amad, another summer addition, has earned a recall to the Ivory Coast squad. Latest signings Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee, will feature for the Netherlands in a highly anticipated game against Germany.

There’s double representation in three more squads. Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo have been called up by interim England boss Lee Carsley for games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland. Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot will play for Portugal in matches against Scotland, where they will face former teammate Scott McTominay while Alejandro Garnacho and Lisandro Martinez will represent Argentina.
Manuel Ugarte, who recently joined United from PSG and yet to make his debut for his new club, joins Uruguay's squad for qualifiers against Paraguay and Venezuela.
Currently, Argentina and Uruguay lead the South American World Cup qualifiers standings, with six of the 18 games completed. The top six teams will automatically qualify for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
