Manchester United keeping tabs on Southampton star who gave Diogo Dalot a torrid time
Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Southampton left-winger Tyler Dibling amid an impressive outing against Erik ten Hag's side last Saturday (September 14). The 18-year-old caught the eye for the Saints on the left flank, giving Diogo Dalot all sorts of problems.
Ben Jacobs reports for GIVEMESPORT that the Red Devils, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Stuttgart are all keeping an eye on Dibling. The England U19 international has risen through the youth ranks and become a first-team regular under Russell Martin.
Dibling forced Dalot into a foul in the box in Manchester United's 3-0 win at St Mary's. He also won four of eight ground duels and found his man with both of his long ball attempts. His stock is continuing to grow and his contract expires next summer.
Manchester United keeping track of Tyler Dibling
Manchester United could be eyeing Dibling as a long-term signing who could bolster Ten Hag's attack. The Red Devils parted ways with Jadon Sancho in the summer, and the English winger joined Chelsea on loan with an obligation to buy.
Dibling was highly-rated during former manager Ralph Hassenhuttl's time in charge of Southampton. He's risen through the youth ranks and become one of the Premier League newcomers' shining stars.
United could face competition from Newcastle of whom the club's current sporting director Dan Ashworth had on the Magpies' radar during his time at St James' Park. It's claimed the Red Devils may try and turn Dibling's head although they are not expected to make a move at this stage.
