Brighton & Hove Albion Women have signed England forward Nikita Parris from Manchester United on a permanent deal. The 30-year-old was United’s top scorer last season and helped them win their first Women's FA Cup. Parris joined United from Arsenal in August 2022 and scored 25 goals in 57 appearances.

Brighton’s head coach, Dario Vidosic, said Parris brings valuable experience and will be a great mentor for younger players. Parris, who was part of England's Euro 2022-winning team, will join her teammate Fran Kirby, who also signed with Brighton this summer.

Despite interest from other clubs, including an offer from North Carolina Courage in the NWSL, Parris chose to stay in the Women's Super League. She is ready to take on her new challenge at Brighton, who will face Everton in their first WSL game.

Manchester United triggered a single-year extension in her deal and were able to get a fee for the Lioness forward.
