Manchester United have reportedly reignited their interest in Paris Saint-Germain's Xavi Simons, after the young midfielder's impressive loan spell with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. According to the French outlet L'Equipe, Manchester United has contacted PSG regarding a potential transfer deal but they face competition from several top clubs. PSG are currently willing to loan the player rather than selling him but Manchester United want the transfer permanent.

Simons, who spent last season on loan in Germany with RB Leipzig, delivered performances week in and week out that caught the eye of many major European teams. The Dutch youngster contributed significantly, netting ten goals and providing 15 assists. His form has made him one of the most sought-after players in the summer transfer window.

With Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho expected to depart this summer, the Red Devils are keen to improve their attacking threat. However, Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City have also expressed interest in the young Dutch international. Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also keen on bringing the midfielder back to Germany which sets the stage for an exciting transfer window for Xavi Simons and PSG.

United is also considering other targets to bolster its squad. Crystal Palace's Michael Olise is another name on their radar. The 22-year-old winger is valued at £60 million, but Chelsea currently leads the race for his signature.
