Manchester United are set to complete their end-of-the-season review and is expected to make a decision on manager Erik ten Hag around the end of this week. While the review seemed to be completed by now, considerations into Erik ten Hag winning the FA Cup against Manchester City and booking a place in the Europa League next season have made the manager hold some ground.

According to Kaveh Solhekol, Sky Sports News Chief Reporter, The Manchester United boss has returned from his holiday but is yet to know his fate over the job at the helm of affairs at Manchester United. However, Thomas Tuchel is reportedly out of consideration for the United job if Manchester United decides to sack Erik ten Hag.

Erik ten Hag won back-to-back trophies in his first two seasons at United but a dismissal European and league campaign have overshadowed that feat. The Manchester United manager has still a year left on his contract but the lengthy review has become potentially concerning.

"When I started here I said I am here to win and also that I want to build a team. I am doing both. But if they don’t want me anymore I will go and win games and trophies somewhere else."

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag can wait for the outcome of the review while several managers have been linked to the United job including Mauricio Pochettino, Gareth Southgate, and Roberto de Zerbi. Thomas Tuchel was reported to have held a meeting with Sir Jim Ratcliffe but as per Fabrizio Romano, Thomas Tuchel is not planning to take the job at United and intends to take a break from any management this summer.

For the United faithful, this time of uncertainty is filled with anticipation. The fans are divided on Erik ten Hag whether to continue with him or part ways with him. His supporters attribute recent United success in the cups and argue that he needs a chance in the revolution that the club is expected to make under the INEOS leadership while those calling for a change highlight the disappointing league finish and lackluster European performances.
