Noussair Mazraoui has suggested he's in dreamland as he settles in at Manchester United after arriving from Bayern Munich in August. The Morocco international headed to Old Trafford with Matthijs de Ligt and reunited with Erik ten Hag, who coached the defensive duo previously at Ajax.

Mazraoui spoke glowingly of his transfer and how he envisioned playing in the English top-flight at some stage of his career. He said (via Fabrizio Romano):

" “I knew I would eventually want to play in the Premier League. But to be able to play for this big club, Man United… it’s only a dream that I could never dream of."

“It was not something I had already in my mind but, like I said, it’s every step.""

Noussair Mazraoui has made an excellent start at Manchester United, impressing in all five of his outings with the Red Devils thus far. He provided an assist for Amad Diallo in a 2-1 loss against Brighton & Hove Albion while constantly displaying his defensive and attacking acumen.

There were some fans who were concerned about the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka who left for West Ham United in a £15 million deal. The English right-back had proven to be one of the Premier League's best one-on-one defenders and a reliable tackler.

However, Mazraoui has more than replaced Wan-Bissaka with consistent performances that perhaps make him United's best signing of the summer. The fee paid for the Moroccan was a steal given how he's seamlessly fitted into Ten Hag's team.
