Besiktas have expressed interest in signing Manchester United winger Antony, according to Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun. The Brazilian joined United from Ajax nearly two years ago but has struggled to make a significant impact, with only 11 goals and five assists in 82 appearances. His lackluster performance has caused frustration among fans and has slipped down the pecking order on the right wing. With Sancho coming back and Amad Diallo looking fine, the right wing will be difficult territory for the Brazilian. Alejandro Garnacho's rise has also limited Antony’s opportunities on the right wing.

Despite Besiktas' interest, Antony is reportedly not keen on leaving Old Trafford. The 24-year-old winger wants to stay and fight for his place under manager Erik ten Hag, who had previously pushed for his signature. Antony’s current contract has three years remaining, and his weekly wages of £200,000 make him an expensive player for potential clubs. Last season, Antony's form was further hampered by off-field issues, including allegations of domestic violence, which led to reduced playing time.

With Besiktas looking to strengthen their squad after finishing sixth in the Turkish Super Lig, they see Antony as a potential asset. However, his high wages and reluctance to leave Manchester United pose challenges. As the transfer window draws to a close, it remains uncertain whether Antony will stay at Old Trafford or move to a new club.
