Manchester United have made a terrific start to their summer transfer window. They have already signed Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton, and have also reached an agreement to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.
It is safe to say that after finishing second in the Premier League last season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side should be considered as one of the frontrunners for the title this time around.
Yet, there are still a few more positions in the squad that could do with some more depth. One of them is right-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been the regular starter there ever since arriving at Old Trafford. And with the futures of Diogo Dalot, Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams all appearing to be up in the air at the moment, the club signing a new right-back this summer should not come as a surprise to anyone.
Kieran Trippier is someone that the Red Devils are believed to be interested in. And as tweeted out by Sam Pilger, they remain committed to signing him but will wait until near the end of the transfer window:

Manchester United remain committed to signing Trippier
Signing someone like Trippier could be a great move on the part of the Red Devils. He could provide competition to Wan-Bissaka and hopefully help elevate his game, similar to what happened with Luke Shaw last season following the arrival of Alex Telles.
On the other hand, Trippier is good enough to be a regular starter himself. He was one of the best full-backs in La Liga last season as Atletico Madrid won the title. But at 30 years of age, he might not be a long-term answer in the position.
His current deal with the Spanish giants runs till the summer of 2023. Thus, they won’t be under any immediate pressure to let him leave the club this summer.
