Manchester United are planning to hijack Jose Mourinho deal
By Akash Dutta
Manchester United boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer is still looking to strengthen his team with more veterans and it seems like former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is one of the transfer targets on his wishlist.
According to recent rumours, it seems that the Red Devils have been keen on acquiring the services of the Danish international and with the playmaker out of the first-team picture at Inter Milan, they might just have the chance to get hold of him with Paul Pogba‘s future still unclear.
United are now in the middle of a title race and Solskjaer will be looking to lift the Premier League trophy at the end of the season. And with it looking likely that Pogba will leave in the summer, Eriksen might be a viable option for Solskjaer as his replacement considering that he has proper experience of playing in England.
According to reports from Express, United have made a loan offer for the Inter Milan playmaker but have reportedly declined to pay his full wages till the end of the season as demanded by the Seria A giants.

Manchester United not ready to pay Eriksen’s full wages
The Italian giants signed the former Spurs star believing he would be the key to them returning to the top of the Premier League, yet Eriksen has not been that instrumental for Inter Milan, having started just 6 games for Conte’s side this term.
While they are willing to let him leave on loan, they want his wages to be completely covered by the club taking him, which is something the Red Devils do not seem eager to do. They only want to pay £1.3 million of his £3.5 million wages till the end of the season. Clearly, there is quite a difference between the two parties.
Thus, the Italian side might not be willing to let Eriksen move to Old Trafford. Recently, a return to Tottenham has also been rumoured with Jose Mourinho reportedly in pursuit of the midfielder.
On the other hand, United already have Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in their squad, so signing Eriksen may not be an immediate need but a luxury instead. One which they might very well miss out on.
