#4 Edinson Cavani

The Uruguayan hitman has an impressive goalscoring record behind him and is considered among the top strikers in Europe. After seven successful seasons with Paris Saint-Germain, Edinson Cavani is out seeking a fresh challenge after leaving the French capital on his contract expiry.

Given the goalscoring pedigree former Napoli man possesses, he could be a vital addition to Solskjaer’s strikeforce as a seasoned campaigner who could guide and nurture United’s upcoming talents to reach the levels required to challenge for coveted trophies.

However, the 33-year-old would be one of the last names Solskjaer will consider given United’s changed transfer policy of recruiting fresh talents who could be moulded to fit the system coach wants to execute at the Theatre of Dreams.

But there might be a catch to this. Cavani was linked with a move to Old Trafford in January when the club desperately wanted to land a striker to aid the depleted squad.

Should Solskjaer turn towards him, the Uruguay international could finally set his strides at the Old Trafford with numerous rumours linking him with a move to England previously.

#3 Victor Osimhen

The Nigerian youngster has established himself as one of the upcoming strikers in Europe. Blessed with pace and physicality, Victor Osimhen has been successful in converting chances created inside the penalty area.

On top of his goalscoring returns, the Lagos born striker is extremely efficient in pressing the opposition and owns excellent work rate. The 21-year-old has all the necessary tools to nurture his game and be a vital cog in Solskjaer’s wheel. In the process, Osimhen has managed 18 goals and six assists in 38 games of the 2019/20 campaign.

Deemed close to a move to Napoli, the LOSC Lille forward has stalled a move to Italy to see whether an offer from England comes up once the Premier League concludes.

No matter what, the Lagos born striker won’t come cheap, given how Luis Ocampos, often, manages to garner a prominent fee for his talented players- as was the case with Nicolas Pepe- who signed for Arsenal for a reported figure of £72m.

Should United consider recruiting Osimhen, they would have to consider designing the payment structure in instalments, as Arsenal did while signing Pepe last summer.
