The Mexican striker ranks among the most underrated forwards in the European circuit. After spending the early part of his career in the wilderness at Benfica, Raul Jimenez underwent resurgence under the tutelage of Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In almost two seasons at the Molineux outfit, the 29-year-old has managed 41 goals and 18 assists across all competitions.

Not only does Jimenez boast sublime scoring figures but he also is an integral piece of Wolves’ attacking setup- with every move seem to pass through him. The Mexico international could use his body to hold the ball higher up the pitch or break lines with his cheeky flicks and link up.

Also, the Wanderers’ number 9 defends well for his team with a relentless pressing of the opposition defenders. These features make Jimenez an instant fit in Solskjaer’s philosophy.

The Premier League-proven striker could be an astute addition to the United squad as he provides something different to the current crop of strikers and yet could do it without disturbing the team balance.

For Raul Jimenez, Wolves would demand in the region of £50m. The deal could be a possibility should Solskjaer sanction the player who exceeds the preferred age-limit of his recruitment.

#1 Moussa Dembele

The French striker has racked up impressive numbers since his playing days for Celtic. However, due to the quality of the Scottish League, Moussa Dembele’s performances went under the radar, relatively.

However, Dembele has seen his stocks rise since the move back to his homeland at Lyon, proving his worth in Ligue 1 by scoring at a fair click. After securing a move last summer, the 23-year-old has managed 43 goals for Les Gones thus far.

Given the physical attributes of Dembele is what Solskjaer is looking for currently, as the Norwegian wants a daunting figure in his attack who could allow mobile forwards already present. The signing of Odion Ighalo has provided that dimension somewhat, but the prolific output is yet to be found.

Previously, there has been criticism of Dembele technical abilities. Though, the club insiders believe the young striker could be improved in those areas given his age bracket and the supply of prominent coaching wisdom.

Among all the names mentioned in this list, Moussa Dembele ranks the highest due to several reports suggesting Manchester United’s interest in the player after being scouted multiple times. Lyon could demand around 60 million Euros to let go of their premium striker.
