Manchester United: The perfect alternative for Bruno Fernandes identified
By Bence Bocsak
It seems Manchester United have identified the perfect alternative in case they miss out on their number one January transfer target, Bruno Fernandes.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on a mission. A desperate mission to get the Red Devils back to where they belong. It is a mission which has seen him slip up on numerous occasions and Manchester United are still nowhere near where they would like to be.
In order to help United fight themselves back to the top, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately needs to revamp his squad. Right now, the Red Devils’ team is devoid of life. It is lacklustre and the team are struggling to find their creative spark in the middle of the park.
The January transfer window is providing the perfect opportunity for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to bring in some well needed new faces, however so far the Norwegian has failed miserably.
For one reason or another, Manchester United have not managed to negotiate deals and convince players to come to Old Trafford.
First the club’s major failure was losing out on the long coveted wonderkid Erling Haaland who opted to sign for Borussia Dortmund instead despite the fact that many were under the impression Haaland’s special relationship with Solskjaer might swing it for United.
Now it seems the Red Devils are on the brink of losing out to yet another target. Bruno Fernandes has been heavily linked with United but it seems the Portuguese playmaker might not be making the switch to England.
That means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to turn to alternatives yet again.
And it seems that a former playerer Paul Merson already has the solution for the United boss. According to the former Aston Villa player writing in the Daily Star via the Metro ‘Manchester United should be trying to sign Jack Grealish‘ and ‘forget Bruno Fernandes.‘
Jack Grealish has been hugely impressive for Aston Villa this season and he has been linked with Manchester United in the past. He is also younger than Bruno Fernandes and he could be a cheaper option. His Premier League experience would be an added bonus too.
What do you think should Manchester United try to sign Jack Grealish instead of Bruno Fernandes?
