5. Blood the Youngsters

The club’s academy is brimming with talented youngsters who are on the verge of breaking into the senior squad. Their passion and zest, albeit laced with a measure of inexperience can be harnessed to the benefit of the senior team. Solskjaer must be willing to progressively afford them meaningful opportunities to express their talents and blossom into the next generation of superstars. This he can do by adopting a policy of player rotation.

Undoubtedly players like Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes, Axel Tuanzebe, Mason Greenwood and Joel Pereira among others who are already in the periphery of the first team, can form the core of a future and dominant Manchester United – Solskjaer’s Soldiers – that could go on to achieve the sort of fame as did Sir Matt’s “Busby Babes” and Sir Alex’s “Fergie’s Fledglings”. The advantage the academy graduates have is in their commitment and loyalty to the Manchester United ideal. Solskjaer and the club can then be assured of a squad of passionate players who give their all and who are ready to fight to their last drop of sweat – the essential character of champions.
