Manchester United have reportedly put extending Kobbie Mainoo's contract at the top of their to-do list while they are also set to hand Amad Diallo a new deal. The Red Devils want to tie the duo down to new contracts amid their impressive performances this season.
GIVEMESPORT reports that United are prioritizing handing Mainoo, 19, a contract extension. The England international is an integral member of Erik ten Hag's team, appearing in all six of the opening games of the season.
Mainoo has just under three years left on his current deal but he can expect to be offered improved terms. He hit the winner for us in our famous 2-1 win against Manchester City in the FA Cup final last season.
Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo set for new deals
Amad, 22, is also headed for a new contract offer after establishing himself as a first-team regular this season. The Ivorian winger has bagged one goal and one assist in seven games, proving a real asset for Ten Hag on the right flank.
The former Atalanta winger's current deal expires next year but he recently made clear his desire to commit his future to the club. He said he wanted to stay with the Red Devils 'forever' amid his dazzling displays in pre-season and so far this campaign.
Red Devil Armada Verdict
Manchester United MUST get the duo tied down to new and lengthy deals given how important they have become at their young ages. The right-wing position has been problematic in recent years but Amad and Alejandro Garnacho have flourished sharing the role in Ten Hag's team. Mainoo is perhaps the most exciting talent at Old Trafford and the future of the club.
