Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson. The American defender faced the Red Devils in a season-opening 1-0 win for Erik ten Hag's side (August 16).

GOAL reports that United are keeping tabs on Robinson amid an injury crisis at left-back. He's appeared five times across competitions this season and posted two assists.

Robinson, 27, has just under four years left on his contract at Craven Cottage and the Cottagers are prepared to do bussiness at around £35 million. His stock has risen in the Premier League during his time in west London.

Manchester United's pursuit of Robinson comes amid a frustrating series of setbacks with regards to Luke Shaw. The English defender endured an injury-ridden 2023-24 campaign before representing England at Euro 2024.

Shaw, 29, has sat out United's start to the new season with a hamstring problem. There is no timescale on when he'll be back for Ten Hag.

Tyrell Malacia has been back in training after missing the whole of last season with a serious knee injury. The Dutch left-back could soon return to action but his recovery is being handled carefully given his lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Thus, United are considering swooping for Robinson who boasts pace, creativity and an injury record that isn't too concerning. He has emerged as one of the USMNT's most important players on the left flank, registering four goals and seven assists in 46 international caps.

Red Devil Armada Verdict

Manchester United should definitely be looking to sign Robinson given the club's current injury toll at left-back. At £35 million that's not too expensive when comparing to the market and he has Premier League experience.
