Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag held a positive meeting with Jadon Sancho at Carrington this week, leading to the player's return to first-team training. The pair reflected on past issues, agreed to move on, and Sancho resumed training with the squad. However, he will not travel to Norway for the friendly against Rosenberg on Monday due to his later start in pre-season training. He will be available for selection after that and will take a full part in pre-season, including matches against Rangers in Edinburgh on July 20 and a three-match tour of the United States starting July 24.

Sancho, 24, had fallen out with Ten Hag last season and was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January, where he helped the team reach the Champions League final. His future has been the subject of speculation, with Juventus and Dortmund showing interest. However, there is a substantial gap between United’s £40m valuation and what these clubs can afford.

Sancho's contract with United runs until 2026. While United initially intended to sell him, the player resisted due to his lucrative contract. The recent meeting with Ten Hag marks a new chapter for Sancho, focusing on re-integrating into the squad and contributing to United's upcoming season.
