Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan for the rest of the season.

The news has been confirmed today, after several delays despite Dortmund’s interest in the services of their former player has been known for quite a while.

Sancho has cut the shadow of an outcast for several months, since his bust up with manager Erik Ten Hag.

On the club website, United wrote:

"“Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has rejoined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.”"

It is a straight loan deal with no option to buy.

Sancho rose to fame in Dortmund, and will be looking to add a devastating touch to Dortmund’s final third play. Whilst the German team have been ruthless in the Champions League, things have looked much bleaker for Edin Terzic’s side in Bundesliga.

The Black and Yellows have been winless in 6 games, with their last victory coming on 28 November. German clubs have enjoyed a winter break and Sancho will be hoping to feature t the weekend against Darmstadt.

Red Devil Armada’s verdict:

The news is finally official. Sancho can get away from the toxic environment that did not allow him to share a meal with senior players, let alone the football pitch. If he can garner some momentum in a loving environment, it could be a totally different atmosphere that he returns to United in come the summer…
