Andre Onana's future with Manchester United has become a big talking point among the fanbase.
There have been links to several top goalkeepers, from Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez to a potential stunning move for FC Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The other possibility? Onana remains with Man United. A new report suggests that is the expectation.
"That's been the consistent message all summer on Onana. No real expectation he is going to move on," writes Nathan Salt of Mail Sport.
It's the last thing United fans want to hear. While the club has taken necessary steps toward improving the goal-scoring options, especially when the Bryan Mbeumo deal gets over the line, they need to add a goalkeeper.
Man United will make a huge mistake if they don't add a goalkeeper this summer
Yes, United have several areas they need to improve, and until they start generating transfer funds via sales, it's difficult to keep spending. That said, finding an upgrade at goalkeeper should be high on the to-do list in the summer window.
According to Opta, Onana's save percentage of 67.2 ranked 15th in the Premier League last season. He finished 17th in XGOT (Expected Goals On Target) conceded, and 15th in goals prevented.
United need so much more from the goalkeeper they signed for £47.2 million only two years ago.
It's difficult, and fixing an entire squad that led United to a 15th-place finish takes time. It's impossible to build a title-contending team in one summer, especially while they still need to sell players. But for Ruben Amorim to take United back into European football contention, at the very least, they must sign a goalkeeper.
Perhaps they will, and there's still plenty of time before the Premier League campaign begins (less so if they plan to get new signings in before preseason). But the report that Onana isn't expected to depart is concerning.
