Let INEOS cook? A lot of eyes are on Sir Jim Ratcliffe to make some more splashes during the summer transfer window for Manchester United. Thus far, Matheus Cunha has officially been signed and MUFC is on the verge of getting things done with Bryan Mbeumo as well.
Next up is Viktor Gyokeres? That's what fans have been dreaming about, but there was a fork in the road when reports stated that the standout striker was all-in on joining Arsenal and he wasn't interested in a reunion with Ruben Amorim.
Not so fast. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Gyokeres never said no to United and Amorim. This was just a case of Arsenal being at the top of his list. With that said, the 27-year-old goal machine appears open to an Old Trafford move. Has the door opened for United to get something done?

Viktor Gyokeres to Manchester United still remains in play for Ruben Amorim
So, you're saying there's a chance? An attacking group of Cunha, Mbeumo and Gyokeres up top sure would be something. Don't forget that Amad Diallo is still in town and he's got an unreal future ahead of him as well.
The fact of the matter here, however, is that United needs a standout striker with experience to come in and be a difference-maker. The hope was that Rasmus Hojlund would be a generational performer for the club, but he simply hasn't lived up to the hype since making the move over from Serie A.
Hojlund took a major step back last season and he was frustrating to watch on a consistent basis. He can't be trusted to be the go-to scoring option moving forward and the idea of just plugging in Marcus Rashford as a band-aid striker isn't going to please anyone.
MUFC needs to be aggressive in adding top-tier talent, especially after such an embarrassing season. Not even sniffing the Top 4 is something that should never happen. There will be more sales in the coming weeks to help raise funds and once that happens, someone of Gyokeres' caliber must be the top priority. If he's indeed open to playing for United, then Ratcliffe must do everything possible to get this done.
