Barcelona is still interested in signing Marcus Rashford, and they hope he'll accept a pay cut while also pushing Man United for a loan move.

Marcus Rashford seems like one of those lost causes at Man United. While there is still some sentimentality attached to his name from the fanbase, fans can't help but feeling like his bags are already packed.

Of course, it's been a long while since Marcus Rashford donned the Man United jersey. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, playing Champions League football, and got a taste of a better life outside of Manchester.

His loan move was an overall success. He got worldwide eyes on him again and fans were starting to think "hang on, this is the Rashford we've been missing this whole time."

Marcus Rashford linked to Barcelona loan move

Next season, Marcus Rashford is tipped to not only play in the Champions League again, but doing so with the champions of Spain, Barcelona.

Barcelona would love to welcome Marcus Rashford to the capital of Catalonia, and hope that he would like to join too.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Rashford is willing to push for a loan move, which is Barcelona's preferred method of signing this summer, and even willing to take a pay cut to join them.

In this day and age, it is generally unthinkable that a player would accept a pay cut. They are portrayed as money hungry and with dollar signs in their eyes, but seemingly, Rashford is that desperate to leave Man United that he'd take a financial loss.

Man United fans feel a Rashford shaped gut punch

Man United fans cannot help but feel betrayed by Marcus Rashford. While the only two people who know the full story about what has happened are Ruben Amorim and Marcus Rashford, fans feel a lack of fight was put in by Rashford.

Of course, Rashford is still a club legend. He is one of the greatest players to ever come through the Man United youth ranks and he inspired a generation of local Manchester players but... Yeah, it's seemingly over now.

Look, both Man United and Marcus Rashford needed to move on. This was written in the stars, however, the desperacy shown by Rashford here is like a gut punch to Man United fans who supported his journey for years.
