He's Manchester born and bred, but the days of Marcus Rashford playing for the Red Devils are all but over. After his falling out with Ruben Amorim, Rashford was sent out on loan to play with Aston Villa, impressing with the Premier League rivals.

Could another loan move be on the way for the high-flying Manchester United star? It's no secret that Rashford has been open about his dream of potentially playing for FC Barcelona. However, it doesn't look like the La Liga side is open to a permanent transfer.

With that said, reports have stated that Barcelona and manager Hansi Flick are open to a loan for the 2025-26 season. This obviously is not what United are hoping for, but would they be open to such a move if Rashford's wages are covered?

Marcus Rashford to Barcelona is a move that's still on the table

This sure is interesting. On one hand, yes, not being able to sell Rashford and get a nice transfer fee for him would be frustrating, especially after things didn't get done during the last window. However, if Barcelona puts together a small fee and covers his wages, it could be enough for MUFC to bite.

A lot of fans are tired of things not getting over the line. Rashford has meant so much to the club throughout his career and no one can deny that he's put his body on the line countless times for the club during some pretty lean seasons.

However, last season was filled with nothing but drama surrounding him and the team, especially after Amorim was hired and questioned his effort during training sessions. It led to him ultimately being left off the matchday squad for a Manchester Derby - United took down Man City 2-1 in thrilling fashion.

The hope was that Rashford would work his way back and find a spot under Amorim, but an interview where he stated that he was ready for a new challenge opened the door for him to be sent to a new club, which ended up being Villa, to close out the season. For next campaign, all signs are pointing to him joining a new squad, but no one knows where that will be just yet.
