Ruben Amorim has made some bold calls since taking over as Manchester United head coach in November 2024. The Portuguese tactician hasn't been afraid to be strict with players and that's seen Marcus Rashford leave twice on loan.

Another player who has incurred the wrath of Amorim is Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentine winger's attitude has been an issue that is leading towards a permanent exit this summer.

Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old and he's eager to join the Blues, per The Mirror. He's also made this clear with posts on Instagram although another picture of him on social media has gone viral and fans are worried it could squander his sale.

Garnacho has been causing mischief since the transfer window opened, wearing an Aston Villa shirt with Rashford's name on the back and liking posts linking him with Chelsea. He fell out with Amorim after he was named on the bench for the Reds' 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.

Amorim told him that he "better pray" he finds a new club, and while he appears to have done so, their fans aren't too enthused. They are even more put off by a picture of the player holding a vape while getting a tattoo that has hit social media.

One fan wrote in response:

"This is insane (Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly) I'm a big fan of Garnacho but you can’t have someone vaping, on top of all the other issues with his brother, his attitude etc, abort the signing and bring me a CB."

A United fan urged the post to be taken down so that it doesn't cause his potential exit to fall through:

"For the love of god, take it down!!! We need that £40 million to fund Baleba!!!"

One supporter wrote:

"Not surprised. Can't wait to see that guy out of the club."

One pointed out that the manager had been correct with his treatment of the Argentina international

"Amorim was damn right. We dont need such attention to the club."

Garnacho arrived at United from Atletico Madrid in 2020 as part of the Reds' youth academy before becoming a first-team star during his teenage years. He enjoyed a breakout 2023-24 campaign, scoring the opener in the FA Cup final win over Manchester City.

The Argentine's personality has been problematic though, causing problems due to his petulance and immaturity. His lack of professionalism is tainting the ability he possesses although Chelsea fans will soon realise the worries they have over Jamie Gittens' end product will soon be shared by another new arrival.

Player power is coming to an end at Old Trafford

It's been far too long that players have been allowed to doss around and not wear the United badge with honour like those who went to war under Sir Alex Ferguson. Any sign of behavioural problems and you were shown the door.

That didn't matter whether you were David Beckham, Roy Keane or even Jaap Stam, Ferguson was prepared to sell if he had any reservations over a player putting themself first and the club second.

It feels as though Amorim is trying to create a similar enviroment by clearing out the problem players such as Garnacho. His issues with Rashford stemmed from training performance and a seperation was always best for everyone involved.

Jadon Sancho shouldn't even be employed by the club at this stage given he's the biggest flop in the club's history and another player who has little maturity. Its an optimistic time to be a fan because finally a squad that has the right attitude is being assembled.
