Manchester United play in one of their biggest games of the season on Wednesday evening, as they take on Galatasaray under the bright lights in front of a hostile crowd in Turkey. Manager Erik Ten Hag will be back on the touchline after serving his one game ban against Everton on Sunday.

The Red Devils are coming off a high after the weekend’s 3-0 victory against the Toffees, with much of the talking point being the incredible overhead kick goal scored by Alejandro Garnacho in the first half.

In the Champions League, United sit at the bottom of Group A with two games to go, having lost 3-2 to Copenhagen in their last European outing. However, all is to play for as Copenhagen and Galatasaray both have 4 points, just 1 point more than Ten Hag’s side. As long as Ten Hag’s side avoid defeat on Wednesday, there will be all to play for by the time that United face Bayern Munich, who are guaranteed qualification and top spot in the group.

Galatsaray won 4-0 at the weekend against Antalyaspor in the Super Lig, thanks to goals from Mauro Icardi, Dries Mertens (2) and former United player Wilfried Zaha.

Here is the expected line up for the important clash:

Andre Onana kept a clean sheet at the weekend and is making strides to become very settled between the sticks for United.

Diogo Dalot also played at the weekend, collecting the assist for Garnacho’s stunning goal.

Harry Maguire has been going through his best spell at Old Trafford to date, and is almost undroppable currently.

Victor Lindelof is expected to retain his place alongside the England international.

Luke Shaw returned to action against the Toffees, and is expected to start another game but in all likeliness will not complete the full 90 minutes so soon after his comeback.

Kobbie Mainoo could start in the holding role again after impressing in his full Premier League debut.

Scott McTominay could play the supporting role in midfield next to Mainoo, ahead of Sofyan Amrabat.

Marcus Rashford scored from the spot on Sunday and is expected to retain his spot despite going through a rough patch in form.

Bruno Fernandes is ever present in United’s starting line up. The captain will lead the team out in Turkey in a fashionable upturn in recent form.

Alejandro Garnacho is expected to start after his glowing overhead kick. His trickery on the left hand side will provide a handful and pose one of United’s biggest attacking threats from out wide against Galatasaray.

Anthony Martial scored against Everton (as always) and is expected to start ahead of Rasmus Hojlund, who Ten Hag has confirmed is available for selection but may likely start from the bench instead.

Predicted line-up versus Galatasaray:

Onana – Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw – Mainoo, McTominay – Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho – Martial.
