Report: United reach agreement for Dean Henderson sale
Manchester United have reached an agreement to sell goalkeeper Dean Henderson to Crystal Palace, according to journalist Fabriano Romano.
Crystal Palace emerged as an interested party in the player recently and have reached a sale for the price of £20million including add-ons. The deal will also include a sell on clause.
Henderson’s role this season was all but confirmed when the Red Devils signed André Onana earlier in the summer. His replacement is widely expected to be Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahçe, for whom an announcement is expected soon by the club.
United have been raising funds from selling squad players in order to fund further arrivals. Once the sale is confirmed, this should set the ball rolling on pushing forward for Sofyan Amrabat, who has reportedly been awaiting a bid from the club as he trains alone for Fiorentina, who anticipate a sale before the transfer window shuts. The injury to Luke Shaw has also set alarm bells ringing. The club are looking for a short term solution, with Sergio Reguilon, Marc Cucurella and Ryan Bertrand emerging as possible targets.
