Premier League side Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, according to BBC.

United’s No2 has been subject of interest to Premier League clubs all summer, as he looks to leave Old Trafford if a suitable arrangement can be found for his departure. It is now believed that Roy Hodgson’s Palace side are keen on a move for the goalkeeper. A loan move with an obligation to buy seems likely.

The Eagles are on the search for a goalkeeper after Vincent Guaita is at odds with the club after losing his place in the side. If Palace were to move for Dean Henderson, it would mean that they would have two Manchester United academy graduates as their goalkeepers – as Sam Johnstone is at the London club too.

It makes sense for United to cash in on Henderson before the summer is up. He is not someone that would be happy as No2 this season after Onana’s arrival, and it would make more sense to have someone on the bench who understands their role there. His time to contend for the No1 spot has now come and gone, and an exit from United looks like it is likely to happen.

A potential move to his former club Nottingham Forest was scuppered earlier in the window after he got injured and Forest opted to sign Matt Turner from Arsenal instead.
