Manchester United recieve transfer boost for PSG’s Neymar
According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Paris Saint-Germain is willing to sell Neymar this summer, and the Brazilian superstar is considering a move to the Premier League amidst links with Manchester United.
After yet another poor season from the French giants, the PSG hierarchy wants to overhaul the squad and is looking to get Neymar’s massive salary off their wage bill. This will only fuel the already ongoing rumours linking the Brazilian international with a move to several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Neymar is aware of the club’s decision to sell him, and the Brazilian forward is reportedly open to a transfer this summer. The club’s recent 3-1 defeat to Monaco saw Neymar suffer an ankle injury that required surgery, which is expected to sideline him until June, which could possibly mean that the most expensive transfer in the club’s history could have already played his last game in Parisian colours.
Neymar ready to leave PSG amidst Manchester United links
PSG ultras have already expressed their desire to see Neymar leave as angry protests at the club’s headquarters and even outside his house saw them shouting “Neymar get lost”, calling for him to leave the club.
Recently rumours suggested that Newcastle were keen on signing the Brazilian but The Magpies’ boss Eddie Howe has denied speculation that his club is interested in Neymar, while Manchester United has been linked with a move for the Brazilian superstar if a Qatari takeover of the club is completed.
Neymar’s possible departure from PSG comes amid rumours of discontent and clashes with his colleagues and sporting advisor Luis Campos. The Ligue 1 giant’s decision to sell the Brazilian superstar could be an effort to revamp the squad to start a new era with Kylian Mbappe as the sole superstar, and move forward after a difficult season.
