Manchester United offer €50m plus Anthony Martial for Inter superstar

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make an offer for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez. The Red Devils are said to be willing to offer €50m plus the transfer of Anthony Martial in exchange for the Argentine forward, according to Calciomercatoweb.

Martinez has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs, and could leave Inter during the summer transfer window. Inter Milan is said to be looking to the future, and is considering making changes to its defensive department due to several potential departures. Milan Skriniar has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, while Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi are also in doubt. De Vrij could renew his contract with the club, while Acerbi may need to seek an agreement with Lazio for a possible extension of his loan spell.

In addition to making changes in defence, Inter is also considering potential changes to its attack. Romelu Lukaku is expected to leave the club and return to Chelsea at the end of the season, while the futures of Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa are uncertain. Martinez was initially expected to stay at the club, but Manchester United’s reported interest in the player has changed the situation.

Manchester United is reportedly looking for a big-name striker, with Tottenham Hotspur‘s Harry Kane their primary target. However, the reported price tag of over €100m is a deterrent. Martinez is seen as a more affordable option, and the Red Devils are willing to offer €50m plus Martial to secure his services.

Although the offer is attractive, Inter may not be willing to part with Martinez for technical compensation. Manchester United, however, is reportedly serious about the move and is prepared to make a strong push for the player. Martinez could be a major protagonist in this summer’s transfer window, with Inter Milan officials reportedly starting to feel nervous about the prospect of losing him.
