With things not looking good for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, the Manchester United manager has decided to go back to Norway for a family break. As reported by the Mirror, he was spotted at Manchester airport recently, boarding a plane to Norway as the international break commences.

Of course, it is not uncommon to give a week off at this point of time, especially with the amount of football that has already been played. The rest could prove to be a masterstroke from the manager, who is looking at ways to improve both morale and form right now.

The recent defeats at the hands of Liverpool and Manchester City were hard to take. It was not just about losing but also the manner in which these games were lost.

The 5-0 defeat at Old Trafford against Liverpool will be talked about for years to come. And the 2-0 scoreline in the defeat against Manchester City did not quite show the gulf between the two clubs. At no point did Manchester United look like coming out with a result in either of these games.

Is Solskjaer’s time at Manchester United coming to an end?

The Norwegian manager has clearly got his work cut out to turn around Manchester United’s season and win back the support of a section of the fanbase, who want a change in the managerial hot seat after the disappointing start to the campaign.

Questions are certainly being raised about the manager’s future at the club. For the time being, Solskjaer remains at Manchester United but if things don’t improve soon, the Red Devils might have very few other choices than to make a change.

However this turns out, it is important to remember that Solskjaer is a club legend, who gave Manchester United one of their greatest nights in their history. And that will never change.
