Manchester United vs Everton was a great game of football with great passion showed by both sides on the day. The game was always going to be a tight one for the Red Devils, as they have not been in great form in recent times.

However, after the recent loss against Aston Villa, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side knew that they would have to get a good result this weekend in order to keep up with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

It was not a great result for Manchester United though as they could only manage a 1-1 draw. Anthony Martial scored the opener before Andros Townsend scored the equaliser. And the two sides could not be separated at the end of 90 minutes.

It had even looked like Everton had won it late on before VAR disallowed their goal for offside. Despite that, this result is not a positive one for Manchester United, who are in a bad run of form at the moment.

3 things we learned from Manchester United vs Everton

Here are three things we learned from today’s 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Everton at Old Trafford:

Manchester United moved the ball much faster today

Manchester United showed some great intent in attack today. Quick passing is exactly what this side needed to break down a team sitting back. Their goal was brilliant as well.

Bruno Fernandes was absolutely class, passing the ball around with ease and picking passes at will. His quick build-up play with Luke Shaw almost gave the side an early lead. However, Everton’s defence stood strong for the most part. And it was minutes before halftime that they finally got their goal.

Solskjaer decided to play Martial from the start today, and it worked out on this occasion. The goal will surely give him a confidence boost moving forward.
