Paul Pogba is currently in the final year of his Manchester United contract and will become a free agent next summer if he does not end up signing a new deal by then. It is safe to say that the Red Devils would be eager to see him extend his stay at Old Trafford after the spectacular form that he has shown at the start of this season.

Recently, there have been rumours that Pogba might be thinking about remaining at the club following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. But after Mino Raiola’s recent comments, it does feel like his future is still pretty much up in the air.

It was from Juventus that Manchester United signed Pogba, back in the summer of 2016 in a then world-record transfer move. And Raiola has kept the door open regarding a possible return to Turin next summer.

While speaking with Rai Sport and as reported by GOAL, Raiola said:

"“Paul Pogba is out of contract in June, so we’ll talk with Manchester and we’ll see what happens.“Turin is still in his heart. There’s a chance that Pogba will return to Juventus, but it also depends on Juventus.”"

Could Pogba leave Manchester United next summer?

It will certainly be interesting to see what the future holds when it comes to Pogba. Ever since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2016, he has been linked with an exit several times but till now, it has not transpired.

Things will be different next summer though as he could be a free agent by that point of time. Clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with the French midfield maestro recently. And now it looks like Juventus are a possible destination as well.

At the end of the day, it might end up depending on how this season turns out for Manchester United. The club have not won a trophy in four seasons now and if they go through a fifth straight trophyless campaign, it would not come as a surprise if Pogba did decide to depart Old Trafford. But if the club have a successful season, his long-term future might very well lie at the Theatre of Dreams.
