Manchester United offered FC Barcelona and Juventus chance to sign star
Manchester United must be delighted with the transfer window that they are coming off of. The club have managed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton, and must be considered as one of the favourites for the Premier League title this season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side had already finished second in the Premier League and runners up in the Europa League last season, and this time around, there will be a lot of expectations about them bringing an end to their four season-long trophyless streak.
The depth of their squad is simply incredible at this point of time and on paper, it is as good as any other team in the Premier League. But as a result of this depth, some players might not get enough playing time this season.
As reported by CalcioMercato, Manchester United offered FC Barcelona and Juventus the chance to sign Edinson Cavani.

Will Cavani play a big role for Manchester United this season?
It is safe to say that Cavani enjoyed a brilliant second half to the 2020/21 season for the Red Devils. After a slow start and a few injury worries, he eventually came into his own and ended the campaign as Solskjaer’s first-choice striker.
During that spell, he was easily one of the best players in the entire Premier League. But with the arrival of Ronaldo this summer, one has to wonder what the future holds for Cavani at Old Trafford?
Ronaldo is expected to play at striker, which means that chances could be limited for Cavani unless Solskjaer decides to go with two up front, which feels very unlikely. Thus, it should not come as a surprise that Juventus and FC Barcelona were offered the chance to sign him towards the end of the summer transfer window.
The Uruguayan striker might find himself on the bench quite often this season despite coming off of a brilliant campaign for the club.
