Many believe that Scott McTominay can one day be the captain of Manchester United. The Scottish midfielder has managed to nail down a spot in Solskjaer’s first-team in recent times. And last season, he showed that he is continuously evolving as a footballer, as it looked like he had added more goals to his game.

His partnership with Fred in the middle of the park did well. It will be interesting to see though if Solskjaer decides to carry on with the duo this season as well.

There have been some rumours that the manager could go for a change in system this time around and field just one defensive midfielder.

Jadon Sancho

Arguably one of the signings of this summer transfer window, Sancho will arrive at Old Trafford with a lot of hopes and expectations.

More from Manchester United News

The 21-year-old has been linked with the Red Devils for years now but a move never quite materialised until this summer.

The English international had established himself as one of the most exciting wingers in world football during his time at Borussia Dortmund and one would hope that he can continue to develop and improve at the Theatre of Dreams.

Many believe that Sancho could be the long-term answer for the club on the right-wing but with Marcus Rashford out of action for a while, it is very possible that he could feature on the left flank as well.

The move could also benefit Edinson Cavani, who will have Sancho trying to set up goals for him, something that the Englishman is very good at. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists in 38 appearances for Borussia Dortmund last season.
