It might have been over a decade since Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United to join Real Madrid in a then world record transfer, but the Portuguese superstar still continues to be linked with a return to Old Trafford.
Since leaving the Red Devils, he has established himself as one of the greatest players in the history of the game. He left the La Liga giants in 2018 to join Juventus.
His spell in Italy has not been as successful though. While Juventus have managed to win league titles, they would have signed Ronaldo with the aim of winning the UEFA Champions League. Unfortunately, that has not happened till now and they have been knocked out from the competition in disappointing fashion in three straight seasons.
As a result, he has been linked with a move away from the club and perhaps as expected, rumours suggest Old Trafford is a possible destination.

Could Manchester United look to swap Pogba for Ronaldo?
Paul Pogba has been sensational for the Red Devils this season. But he will have only a year left on his current deal at the end of the campaign and looks likely to leave the club in the summer. And Juventus are one of the clubs who have been most heavily linked with the Frenchman.
As reported by Calciomercato (via Manchester Evening News), Manchester United could even look to swap Pogba for Ronaldo.
On paper, the move does make a lot of sense for the Red Devils. Despite being 36 years of age, Ronaldo is still scoring goals on a consistent basis and is the top scorer in the Serie A at this point of time with 25 goals to his name.
On the other hand, it is unlikely that they can get a massive transfer fee for Pogba simply because of the fact that he has only one year left on his contract and will be a free agent next summer.
