Manchester United and Liverpool share the biggest rivalry in the Premier League. The two share a rich history and the same passion for football, always trying to outshine each other in any possible contest.
And the two might soon be in the middle of the biggest transfer battle of this decade, as Jurgen Klopp’s side now seem to be favourites in the transfer race for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to Duncan Castles, Liverpool are well-placed amongst the Premier Leagues clubs when it comes to signing the French World Cup winner. Although multiple other clubs, including Spanish giants Real Madrid, have been linked with him in the past.
Speaking to the Transfer Window Podcast (and as reported by Sport Bible), Castles said:
"“He [Mbappe], as we have reported, is keen on moving to one of two leagues for the next stage of his career.“Either the Premier League where his preference I am told would be a move to Liverpool. He likes Manchester United as a club, but his preference would be to work with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.”"

Manchester United must make a move for Mbappe if he becomes available
Since joining PSG after bursting onto the scene at Monaco, Mbappe has scored 113 goals and provided 59 assists from 155 matches, gaining incredible praise and attracting loads of interest from all around the world.
Regarded as one of football’s biggest superstars of the future, Mbappe is under contract at PSG until June 2022 and could make a move away in the near future in search of a new challenge. And some of the biggest clubs in the world are expected to try to sign him if that does indeed happen.
Despite the Red Devils being the current top scorers of the Premier League, Manchester United forwards, in general, have struggled lately. In addition to that, the absence of a natural right-winger has become a noticeable deficit in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
If Mbappe becomes available, it is a no-brainer to go after him. United signing him would probably be the biggest move they have made since signing Cristiano Ronaldo as a teenager from Sporting CP. And with the potential he has, he could be the one to turn them into Champions League contenders once again.
