Since Ole Gunner Solskjaer took over as Manchester United manager, the club have completed some impressive transfer business. The name of Bruno Fernandes comes to mind immediately, as he might be the best player in the Premier League right now. The likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Edinson Cavani have been good as well, while Amad holds a lot of promise.

As a result, the Red Devils are once again in the middle of a Premier League title race. And it seems like the Norwegian is now eyeing Declan Rice. Previously the Englishman was valued at around a whopping £70 million, but with the global pandemic, the figure is believed to have dropped to around £50 million, which could attract a lot of interest in the summer.

Now given the club’s relationship with the Hammers, who recently signed Jesse Lingard on loan, they will undoubtedly have an upper hand if the club plan to let go of the English midfield general in the summer.

Reports from the 90min, claim that United will be offering West Ham United any of Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic and Phil Jones as part of a deal for Declan Rice.

Manchester United to offer trio to West Ham United for Declan Rice

Currently United value the aforementioned trio at around a combined £30 million, which means that they are ready to offer a considerable fee as well in a player plus cash deal. And it is likely that the club view him as a replacement for Matic, who is in the twilight years of his career now.

And while Rice is clearly a very talented player, you have to question whether the club should to try to fix areas which need immediate reinforcements first, like at striker or centre-back, both of which have been worries this season for the Red Devils.

But even then, there is no denying that Rice is one of the top young players in England right now and Manchester United fans should be delighted if the club can acquire his services.
