The Manchester United youngster has suffered a massive blow as he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the FA Cup tie against Watford.
Facundo Pellistri has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 according to the Mirror, and it looks like the Manchester United youngster will have to sit out against Watford in the FA Cup.
The Red Devils acquired the services of the youngster back in the month of October when the former Penarol wonderkid arrived at Old Trafford as a deadline day. He was signed along with Amad Diallo, whose arrival was confirmed just yesterday after his work permit issues were finally sorted.
Although has not been given any time on the pitch yet, reports from various sources claimed that the 19-year-old was about to make his debut in Manchester United’s FA Cup third round fixture against Watford.
Pellistri arrived for a transfer fee of around £10 million from Penarol and has already earned plaudits from Uruguayan legend and former Red Devil, Diego Forlan.

Although the youngster is yet to make a senior appearance for United, he has made 8 appearances for the club’s under-23 side across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing an assist in the process of doing so.
Having arrived in October, Pellistri might have had hopes of experiencing senior football right off the bat. And while Solskjaer has not used him yet, allowing him to adjust to English football in the youth system instead, it was expected that
