Newcastle United ‘agree’ deal for Manchester United defender
Newcastle United have reportedly agreed the framework of a January loan deal to sign the highly-rated Manchester United defender.
Manchester United are flying high right now than they have in quite a few years. After Liverpool lost last night against Southampton, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have the opportunity to go three points clear at the top of the table when they travel to Burnley.
You would expect the in-form Red Devils to get all three points against a side hovering over the relegation zone. But if this Premier League season has taught us anything, it is that never say never. Any team is capable of producing a surprise so United need to remain on their toes.
The January transfer window is also now open although you should not expect the Red Devils to make too many additions. They are in prime form at the moment and would not want to make too many changes to their setup. There could be quite a few outgoings though. And one of them is Brandon Williams.

The English youngster made quite the impressive last season but has found game time hard to come by after the arrival of Alex Telles and the incredible form shown by Luke Shaw. As a result, a loan move away seems to be on the cards for him.
And according to The Shields Gazette, Newcastle United have agreed a deal in principle to sign him on a loan deal in January. Although it is far from complete at this point and things could change in the future as a number of other clubs are interested in the 20-year-old Manchester United academy graduate.
At the time of writing, it does appear that The Magpies are at the front of the queue. Jamal Lewis has struggled since his big money move in the summer and Williams could prove to be the perfect short-term fix for Steve Bruce’s as they prepare to pull away from the relegation zone.
