The out-of-favour Juventus star has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League one day, putting Manchester United on alert.

It has come to light that Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira wants to pursue his childhood dream of playing in the Premier League before he hangs up his boots. The German International is close to the end of his contract at Juventus and is likely to make a potential move to the Premier League. He has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford in the past and this is where there is an opportunity for Manchester United to make a move.

Since the appointment of Andrea Pirlo as the new manager of Juventus, Khedira is yet to make an appearance for the club. Although the Italian legend has claimed that he intends to hold on to him, it is expected that the German would not want to warm the Turin benches for too long.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer seems to prefer a few experienced players in his squad which already has youth in abundance. It was this desire that saw him bring Cavani to the club on Deadline Day. And the German could be yet another such transfer for the Red Devils.

The 2014 World Cup winner has enjoyed productive spells at both Real Madrid and Juventus through the course of his career but has not stepped up to take the Premier League challenge yet. As reported by Mirror, in a recent interview he said:

"“When I was a child it was always a big dream of mine to be a Premier League player.“I am really happy and satisfied with my career until now but one thing is still missing because I always had this dream and it has never come true… to be a part of the Premier League.“I have watched so many Premier League games since I was young and even now I am following the Premier League a lot.I always enjoy playing in the Champions League against English clubs. The atmosphere, the style and the idea of football has always impressed me.“If it is possible, it will for sure be a really big dream come true and an honour to be a part of the Premier League.”"

Although it is too early to say whether the Juventus star will be joining United in the upcoming transfer window, there is no doubt that he could do a job for the club. Yes, at this stage of his career he will not be a started for the Red Devils but he has more than enough experience to be a valuable squad member.
