Red Devils are eager to add a potentially world-class forward beside Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
Since a third-place finish in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has amplified his appeal to embellish the Manchester United squad amid a rebuild to catch their peers Liverpool and Manchester City.
Attack has been the area of priority for Solskjaer and his bosses as they want to enhance the goalscoring returns and assemble a unit worthy of comparisons with Europe’s elites. Jadon Sancho, who has made rapid strides at Borussia Dortmund is envisaged as the candidate to elevate United’s forward line to a level above.

Despite their concrete interest dating back to the 2018/19 campaign, Man United have been unable to lure Sancho at Old Trafford due to his desire to continue developing in Bundesliga. However, now, the situation read differently with English winger keen on a return to England.
Poised to be a transfer worth over £100m, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have been unable to strike a deal in the current economic climate- where the clubs are reluctant to spill vast amount of cash due to losses incurred during the pandemic lockdown.
Citing the eagerness of both sides to reach an agreement, the deal could be concluded soon with Manchester United initiating dialogues with Der BVB to discuss the terms of the financial package. Once the terms are learnt, the Old Trafford bosses are expected to make a formal bid.
As per Miguel Delaney for The Independent, the talks are moving in a positive direction which could soon reach a conclusion. It is learnt that a £60million fee is agreed with various add-on clauses which would ultimately take the fee to £100million. Sancho’s personal terms are not expected to be a hindrance for Man United.
To replace imminently-departing Jadon Sancho, Dortmund have identified Lille’s Jonathan Ikone and Werder Bremen’s Milot Rashica as attacking reinforcements, both having estimated worth of €50m.
Once the deal for Jadon Sancho is concluded, Manchester United are expected to turn their attention towards attacking midfield with Jack Grealish being the prime target.
