Finally, Man United are acting on their summer transfer targets.

After attaining the third position in the league, Manchester United faithful are waiting for some big moves in the transfer window, which has commenced on July 27. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperately keen to bolster his attacking options ahead of the next season.

In the previous rounds of stories, Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish have been touted as United’s utmost priority this season. Since the start of the transfer window, various developments suggest the Reds taking rapid strides towards the objective of embellishing Solskjaer’s squad.

More from Red Devil Armada

Earlier, reports emerging from Germany suggested that Man United’s first approach worth €98m for Jadon Sancho was rejected as they hold out for at least €120m. Crucially, various English outlets depicted a different picture- with no official offer made for the English prodigy, putting the media from both countries at odds.

Now, Man United seem to have made the move by initiating dialogue with their Bundesliga counterparts over Jadon Sancho, according to Sky Sports. As per their reports, reaching a financial consensus would be tough as two clubs remain apart in their valuation, hinting towards a compromise from both ends to meet the middle ground.

Despite a potential deadlock due to the difference between Man United and Dortmund’s estimate of Sancho, the beginning of dialogues is a positive sign with chances of both clubs agreeing a fee which does justice in the current economic climate.

With Sancho keen to leave Die Borussen this summer, Man United have increased their chances of landing their coveted target by attaining Champions League football for next season.

Aston Villa’s survival puts Jack Grealish move in the doldrums

Following a spectacular escape from relegation in the last two matches, Aston Villa have increased their chances of keeping their in-demand skipper, Jack Grealish, for at least another season.

Manchester United have been keen on the English playmaker, particularly Solskjaer- who admired Grealish’s outstanding performance in the Lions’ 2-2 draw against United in December. However, the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January had subsided the pressing need of another attacking midfielder in the squad.

Also, Villa bosses have reportedly slapped an £80m price-tag on their skipper, which was expected to depreciate to half of the mentioned value if they dropped to Championship this season.

Considering Fernandes’ sublime form for Red Devils, it would be tough for Grealish to break into Man United’s starting XI. n the current economic climate, Man United are unwilling to spend such a figure on a position where cheap backup could be attained, according to Sky Sports.

Still early days in the market, but initial signs have painted a lucid picture of how Ed Woodward and Matt Judge are planning transfers for Manchester United.
