Manchester United could finally have a breakthrough as Jadon Sancho seems to push for a move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
There’s only one thing that could alleviate the pain of Manchester United fans after the side bowed out of FA Cup on a disappointing note, it’s Jadon Sancho. And thankfully, there is some positive set of developments to lift the Old Trafford faithful before a crucial league clash against West Ham.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has eyed former Manchester City academy graduate as a vital piece of his attacking jigsaw at Man United. The board has acknowledged their manager’s desire and have been trying hard to convince Sancho of the ongoing project at the Stretford-based football club.
Prospect of watching Jadon Sancho flourishing adjacent to Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, already, looks fearsome, at least theoretically. Adding Mason Greenwood to it makes United probable forward line full of some mouthwatering potential.

After several attempts to lure the English winger last summer, Jadon Sancho pulled the plug on a transfer citing another season in Bundesliga crucial to his development plan. Now, the player seems to be convinced of performing at a level where stakes are very high- probably challenging for the league and European silverware.
Before, for Man United, reaching consensus with the player over personal terms was not termed as an impediment in the transfer negotiations. Instead, Borussia Dortmund’s upscale demand over transfer fees was considered to be a major sticking point to push this deal over the line.

Several reports suggesting Man United setting an upper bound of £50m, significantly lower than Dortmund’s valuation lying in the region of £100m. Though, it proved to be a negotiating ploy from Red Devils as they tried to bring the price down. However, they are not willing to go beyond £70-80m.
Countering the stories from England, Dortmund, using their own tricks, suggested that player won’t be allowed to leave for less than €120m, roughly translating to £100m, as per German media. There were even talks of Man United considering cheaper alternatives for Sancho.
United’s Champions League football was termed as a crucial factor in them matching Die Borussen’s valuation. Amid all this, Jadon Sancho’s move has been tottering towards certainty.
Now, fantastic reports emerging via Sky Germany, suggest Jadon Sancho being ‘homesick’ and pushing for a move away from North Rhine-Westphalia to Stretford. Acknowledging this fact, Mohamed Bouhafsi has termed this development holding credibility.
Despite Jadon Sancho’s desire to leave Dortmund, the player is said to remain professional and not force his way out like Ousmane Dembele did while completing a move to Barcelona.
All in all, with English transfer market opening on July 27, Jadon Sancho transfer could see some substantial movements. Man United are eager to bid around £80m including performance-related add-ons.
