The top five Manchester United players so far this season

4. Bruno Fernandes
Appearances: 8
Goals: 3
Yes the Portuguese may have only played 8 games this season, but his impact since arriving in late January has been immense at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes has transformed Manchester United’s midfield and he has rejuvenated the way Solskjaer’s side play football.
With Bruno Fernandes in the team the Red Devils have looked far better. Their performances have been on another level. His creativity and distribution have finally fixed the apparent problems the club have been suffering from.
In addition to the three goals Fernandes has scored in United colours he also has four assists in 8 games.
Those are impressive numbers and they can only improve when the likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford return to the side.
Already Bruno Fernandes seems like the perfect fit for the Red Devils and he is fulfilling much of the hype with which the club welcomed him with.
3. Anthony Martial
Appearances: 34
Goals: 16
The French striker is close to reaching his best tally in Manchester United colours since his first season at Old Trafford all the way back in the 2015/16 campaign.
Anthony Martial has been an interesting character at Manchester United.
There was a lot of initial hype regarding his arrival and during his first season he certainly seemed to fulfil much of that promise.
However, over the last few seasons the striker has failed to live up to those expectations.
Even during the current campaign Martial hasn’t been outstanding. The French striker has certainly had some disappointing performances, but on the whole he has proved to be a valuable asset, especially in the void that was left by Romelu Lukaku‘s departure.
In recent weeks Martial has seemed to pick up an especially impressive run of form having scored three times in his last four games in the Premier League.
The United hopeful can only hope Martial continues in that same form for the remainder of the season.
