Manchester United to lose key transfer target to arch rivals

According to the latest reports Manchester United are set to lose out on one of their key transfer targets to their arch rivals, Liverpool.
When the summer transfer window opens Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will face his toughest test as Manchester United boss to date. It will be make or break for the Norwegian who is expected to undertake a major rebuild at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils’ squad desperately needs both snipping away and key additions if they are to meet their ambitions and once again compete at the top.
One player who would be the perfect Manchester United signing is Todd Cantwell. The Norwich midfielder has been a creative spark for a Norwich side currently sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Todd Cantwell has been a true marvel this season and has been dubbed the ‘Dereham Deco’ due to his elegance and flair.
Cantwell oozes flamboyance. He is a true entertainer.
Todd Cantwell’s main strength is his uncanny ability to draw fouls from the opposition in key areas of the pitch. In addition he also has a tremendous amount of energy and is good at pressing his opponents. In front of goal he has been deadly too and has struck the back of the net six times from a midfield position.
United are in need of exactly that type of player. The Red Devils have often struggled in breaking down deep lying defence and opposition who have parked the bus against them. In those games the quick feet of Todd Cantwell and his lethal finishing would have been the perfect solution to solving those problems. United have rightly been linked with the star and were tipped to make a £30 million move.
However according to reports by The Athletic via WhoScored.com the Red Devils are set to lose out on Todd Cantwell with Liverpool currently leading the race and in pole position to sign the ‘Dereham Deco.’
That will come as a blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his side and it will be even more bitter considering Liverpool are the ones who are set to beat them to the signing of Todd Cantwell.
