Manchester United: Solskjaer to make second signing

After the signing of Bruno Fernandes Manchester United are also closing in on another signing to bring to Old Trafford in January.

Manchester United fans have every right to be excited during the final days of the January transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has undoubtedly had a frustrating time in January so far. The Norwegian boss has struggled to acquire the right targets. His most coveted one Erling Haaland a former prodigy of Solskjaer opted to move to Borussia Dortmund in a major blow.

Yet the Norwegian has persisted. He is desperate to accomplish his mission with the Red Devils and after numerous setbacks he has continued to urge his board on.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is well aware he needs reinforcements and rejuvenation in his Manchester United squad.

The team right now is simply not good enough.

And at last he can rejoice. The Red Devils are on the verge of landing the hugely exciting prospect Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese midfielder could be one of the most exciting United signings in recent times and his creativity will go a long way in ensuring Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets his team firing and finally able to break down deep lying defences.

Yet it seems despite just a couple of days remaining in the window Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not just stop at the signing of Bruno Fernandes. Yet another addition could come to Old Trafford by the end of the window.

According to the BBC Manchester United are ‘close’ to completing a deal for Southend Untied goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.

Nathan Bishop is a young 20 year old stopper who has made 31 appearances for the League One club so far in his career making his debut all the way back in 2017.

He has also represented England U20s and he could be an exciting prospect to add to the club’s rank especially with United’s current third choice keeper being Lee Grant who is surely close to retirement.
