It seems despite the Red Devils’ persistent pursuit Manchester United will miss out on their highly rated wonderkid target in the transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on a desperate mission to get Manchester United back to where they belong. The Norwegian faces a long and arduous journey to achieve his ambition.
The Red Devils are nowhere near where they should be. However Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not seeking short term solutions like some of his predecessors. Instead the Norwegian wants to build a team full of individuals who can dominate English football and Europe for decades.
Solskjaer has already begun to build the foundations of his side through the signing of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as well as bringing through academy talent from Carrington. The likes of Scott McTominay, Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood are all expected to have huge futures at Old Trafford.
Just like Sir Alex Ferguson and Matt Busby have done in the past Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is building his team from scratch.
And just like it took Busby and Ferguson a considerable time to get going, it will inevitably be the same for Solskjaer too.
Of course he will not only bring through players from the academy. The Norwegian will recruit talent from elsewhere too.
Earlier in January, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed in his attempt to recruit his former player Erling Haaland who opted to move to Borussia Dortmund instead and now it may seem that Solskjaer could miss out on yet another talented wonderkid.
Manchester United have coveted the Birmingham City teenage prodigy Jude Bellingham for quite some time now. However according to The Athletic via the Metro, Jude Bellingham has ‘reservations’ about moving to Old Trafford where he is not guaranteed to get regular game time.
Jude Bellingham’s reservations may be a huge stumbling block in the move unless Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can convince the youngster that he will be getting the regular football he craves.
What do you think should Manchester United sign Jude Bellingham?
